LAST WEEK

We had a great time away visiting our friends for 4 days last week. It was a real talk fest, though we did get to do a little bit of sightseeing and even went to an amusement park. Yes, we went on a couple of rides and the 4 of us regretted one of the rides after the fun of it all.

Here are a couple of pictures of our time away.

THANK YOU

I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU for your prayers for Roger over this past week. It has made such a difference and the healing has been amazing. He still gets occasional pain, but nothing to what he was getting. Roger saw the Oral Surgeon again last Thursday and will have another appointment next Friday.

We will be making appointments at the local Dentist for check ups! Don't want to do it - Dentists are never exciting to visit - but we both need to have work done.

We'll be out of town from Monday to Thursday visiting friends who are doing a similar work to us. It will be good to do some networking and also to talk about some things that are on our heart.

Thanks again for your continued prayers for us both.

MY SINGAPORE FRIEND CHRISTINE

I just had to share this with my blogging friends. If you want to see some MAGNIFICENT photo's of Switzerland then go to Christine's blog http://www.27hcram.blogspot.com

I met up with Christine for the first time back in May in Luzern. We had been blogging friends before then. She is now back in Singapore and has just started work.

Enjoy the photo's.

G O C A T S ! ! !

Sorry folks but I'm pretty proud of our boys! GO CATS! Another amazing game and now they've won 10 games in a row. Quite a record for the boys from Geelong.

(our boy IS NOT No. 18!)

PRAYER PLEASE

I thought my blog was the best place to mobilise prayers for us!

I've mentioned Roger has not been well with swollen glands! He has been to the Dr twice (and NO antibiotics) and today to an Oral Surgeon. His appointment was suppose to be for tomorrow but he was in so much pain I asked a dear German friend to ring up for us and make an urgent appointment for this afternoon. Well, the long and short of this saga is that Roger has had a tooth out today, is now on antibiotics and is recovering (asleep as I type this). Can I ask you to pray for his full recovery and for us both as this hasn't been a good experience for us.

Thanks in anticipation to all you gorgeous blogger friends for your prayers.

NOAH'S DEDICATION DAY

Guess who greeted us when we arrived at Church yesterday?
Eliane and Noah were all smiles and looking gorgeous as
always. Noah is quite the little man! He is growing into the

the most beautiful little boy (which is to be expected with
parents like he has).

After the service Roger and I were invited to attend a family
luncheon. We felt very privileged and blessed to be with Eliane
Jakob and Noah and their extended family (16 of us in all).
We went to a Italian Restaurant in Loerrach.

As we sat amongst these beautiful people our thoughts went to
Juliane (Jakob's niece) who was celebrating her 20th Birthday
with our family in Melbourne. Juliane is in Australia for 3 months
to improve her English. She is staying with our daughter Glenda
and son in law Tom.

God is so good to us in giving us lovely 'family' here to look after us, nurture us and spoilt us and we want to thank him for this.

SCHOPFHEIM R O C K S ! ! !

Roger and I have decided our family and friends really need to visit us here in JULY!

We thought we would go for a quiet walk down to the shops this morning, buy a few things from the markets (lovely fresh farm eggs, etc) and then go to our favourite little supermarket - Neukauf. We got down the street and the place was literally rocking. Cafes, shops, grills, music, etc all out in the street. It was amazing. WE LOVE IT. Needless to say shopping took us a lot longer than we anticipated. Oh how we would have loved to share our enjoyment with our kids. One day.

If you do come to Schopfheim and it's not in July, you at least have to come over a Saturday so that you can enjoy the usual Saturday market.

We were then ensconced in watching Wimbleton when the doorbell rang and 'someone' handed Roger a jar of Australian honey! The someone was actually Steve riding his bike from Switzerland out to Zell. He had his helmet on so Roger didn't recognize him at first. Then both Stephen and Sharyn called in on their way home and we had a great catch-up. They are Aussies and have lived in Switzerland for about 5 years I think. They are from South Australia. We love catching up with Aussies, I don't know, it's just something special.

Roger had to go to the Doctor this afternoon. His glands are up on the right side of his neck and he isn't a happy chappy. Personally I think it's something to do with his teeth, but he won't be told. I think it's time we both visited the Dentist. Yikes, I don't even want to think about it!

Must get off to bed, tomorrow is another day!!

GO CATS ! ! !

Cameron Mooney kicks for goal

Apologies to all my non Australian blogging friends, but I do have reason for a celebration. I love watching Australian Rules Football (something I miss very much being here in Germany), but have to be content with listening to it on the radio, streamlined through the computer. At least that's better than last year when we weren't even able to do that. BUT, our family all follow the Geelong Football Club AND THEY ARE ON TOP OF THE LADDER!!!! Yeh, Yeh, Yeh. It's the first time since 1989 that they have won 9 games in a row, and they really seem to have their heads screwed on at the moment. We're pretty excited about our great team. Now we wish we were back in Melbourne to watch our great team perform so well.

GO CATS AND CONGRATULATIONS !

PINCH ME PLEASE !

Well, another amazing day has past in this beautiful land we are currently calling home.

Last night we were invited to Fritz and Ilona's place for Dinner. They live in 'the back of beyond' in Switzerland!! Now I know that's not really possible, but they live in a lovely little isolated town in the most gorgeous home they are currently renting WITH marble floors. Completely over the top. Then we saw the Landlords collection of old cars. OH MY GOODNESS. 2 Rolls Royce, 1 Ferrari, 1 old Studibaker, etc (can't spell the names of most of the cars!!! - about 9 old cars in all. What a collection. We stayed overnight so we could just relax and not have to worry about catching the last train home at 12 o'clock.

Then we came back to Schopfheim about 10.30am and got ready for a day out on the Schopfheim town - celebrating 1200 years - with Bernhard and Lorraine. What a fantastic day we've had. Done everything. Eat, listen to music, walk, gone up the hill for the pony show jumping, eat, drink, back home for a nap, eat, drink. Now I suppose I'd better go to bed as tomorrow is another day!!

We forgot to take the camera, so no pictures. Sorry folks. Next time!
